The "Buddy a Business" scheme enables businesses to either provide their expertise at a up to 50 per cent discount to earthquake-affected Christchurch companies or to make a cash payment covering the other 50 per cent, making it free for Christchurch companies.
Here’s how the scheme works:
1. Registered supplier invoices the Christchurch business in need (Beneficiary) at a special discount for up to a maximum of 50% for a set period (say 6 months)
2. Beneficiary sends Buddy their approved monthly statement from the supply company and the Buddy pays the remaining 50% directly to the supplier.
At time of launch we’re able to provide accounting services from ‘Accounts Online’ and search-engine optimization from ‘Uprise’. We will expand our list of services in the future so check back regularly for any changes.
Becoming a Buddy is easy. We’ll pair you with a Christchurch business and you’ll agree to sponsor half the cost of certain services on a monthly basis.
